I am the owner of Over the Moon Editing. I offer editorial services to authors. This privacy policy details what information I may collect from you, how I use it, and how it is collected and stored.

I collect the following data:

  • Email address

  • First and last name

  • Relevant information about your project and services you’re seeking (e.g. word count)

  • Postal address


Why do I collect this information? How do I use it?

  • To respond to enquiries

  • To contact you while I’m working on your project

  • To send you updates and notifications if you subscribe to my blog

  • For my records (e.g. invoices) so that I am legally compliant

  • To record your agreement to my terms and conditions


How do I collect your data?

  • When you subscribe for updates to my blog

  • When you use my contact form or email me directly

  • In any email exchanges discussing the work required or the details I require to invoice you


How is your data stored?

  • Wix is my website host. It is password protected and has SSL-certification.

  • PayPal is a password-protected online payment service which I sometimes use for clients for whom a bank transfer is not convenient.

  • Gmail is the password-protected server I use to communicate with clients.


How long do I store your data?

  • HMRC requires me to keep records for '5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year'. See 'How long to keep your records'.

  • If you want your data removed (e.g. you no longer want to receive email updates), I will do so. Client data will also be removed as long as I am able to remain legally compliant.



Your information is not shared with any third party unless you request this.
